The Power Pup Downloader for the Duramax is now available. The Power Pup is designed to increase horsepower and torque by re-flashing the ECU with performance tuned programs. It does this by plugging through the OBDII port that is located underneath the dash. The Power Pup gives the driver the choice between upgrading to an additional 50hp, 75hp or 95hp. The Power Pup can also be upgraded to an even larger race tuned increase. The programs that the downloader uses to add the power have been developed using a combination of dyno and road testing to get the safest most reliable horsepower increase available. The Power Pup can also remove the speed limiter, adjust the speedometer for different tire sizes and scan and erase Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's). The Power Pup also offers a higher horsepower level that is for off-road use only.
